Topic: Autumn leaves 2 (Tribute to budo)

I was listening to budo’s Autumn leaves (4.9 -21) and thought, this is the piece I want to try to improvise around too. Thanks budo for inspiring me. A tribute is something we say/do to show our admiration and respect for someone. May this impro be a tribute to budo.
Well, my way of playing it…step for step forward with improlearning with this kind of music (budo-music

Thanks for your nice comment. Much appreciated. I'm using Petrof Mistral Classical Recording with some small modifications, mint 0,16   resonance etc

Re: Autumn leaves 2 (Tribute to budo)

again i'm very honored that you designate this as a tribute   i think you did a great job with the improvisation.  there were some very cool chords that snuck into the first solo chorus (i.e. chords with extensions and other fun harmonic stuff).  the second chorus had a lot of melodic movement and i could tell that you were inspired by the melody (something i always think is an important part of improvisation).  Autumn Leaves is a great tune to do because the chord progression is not that distant from what one finds in Baroque music, so it's more familiar than some other progressions.  i'm glad that you are enjoying this kind of music and i hope you will continue to do more!
