Topic: And Now, The Queen and Joyspring (Pianoteq)

two more real book tracks.  the first And Now, The Queen by Carla Bley, is probably one of the least played pieces out of there (although there are some that as far as i know have never been professionally recorded).  i didn't listen to any performance of it, i just tried to do something straight off the lead sheet.

the other, Joyspring by Clifford Brown, is probably one of the most played tunes in the book.  almost every session has someone calling this tune.

Two others perfect ones (I'm not kidding)
Something meditative with "And Now, The Queen". Swinging and singing very well with "Joyspring".

What could I say more ?

Re: And Now, The Queen and Joyspring (Pianoteq)

Two totally different pieces, but I can like both, anyway.  One of the least played and slow - one of the most played and fast. What a contrast! An interesting choice of two pieces. It made me listen carefully. First one a dream, second one action. Enjoyed it. Thank you budo!

Best,
