Re: Gentle Rain (Pianoteq)
A perfect one.
To me, this tune is as deep as Black Orpheus. There are other tunes that I feel this way, but Black Orpheus came first in my mind.
Would be great to hear you in a Trio.
Re: Gentle Rain (Pianoteq)
Awesome! This is very lovely, I can listen to this many times. A beautiful interpretation of a beautiful song (You know, I like these ”soft” pieces). Thank you for this beautiful moment - and like your ending here again, as always.
I was lookin at this text when listening:
We both are lost And alone in the world, Walk with me In the gentle rain
Don't be afraid, I've a hand For your hand…………..
In my opinion you are talented, you have your own special style, and therefore, are you going to record an album with your music?

thanks a lot for your compliments. it would be awesome to be in a trio, maybe that can happen someday. indeed Black Orpheus is another great tune by him. yet another is Samba de Orfeu, which sadly isn't in the Real Book v1 (it is in v3 ...). here's the composer performing it:

thank you for your compliments. i agree that it's a beautiful tune and i really like the text!
regarding putting together an album, i've thought about doing something like that and putting in on say Bandcamp. the thing holding me back is that i think i would have to get some serious mastering done on my recordings. PTQ is great for recording and re-rendering the tracks, but i feel like there is a lot more work that has to happen to get them to a pro audio level. there are inexpensive AI mastering solutions, but i've never seen one that does a decent job on solo piano (they all seem to be developed for dance music with heavy drums and bass). i don't feel right selling the recordings without that added value.
it would be great if PTQ could produce pro audio recording quality out of the box (like ECM solo piano or like the solo piano recordings of Bill Evans). but i think there still has to be some skilled intervention to get there.
