Topic: Trying to emulate this sound

Hi everybody, this is my first post here.
I'm trying to find a way to adjust the microphones to get a similiar sound, with the high notes on the right and the low notes on the left.
I 'm using Pianoteq 7 Standard and Bechstein
I tried to put the two mics far away from each other with no luck. It didn't work even if changed the angle of the two mics.
I always listen too much of the mic 1 in 2 and viceversa.
Obviously it's also a matter of mixing but in the Yiruma's music the mono compatibilty is ok (phase correlation checked)

This is the sound i want to emulate:

Re: Trying to emulate this sound

Very nice performance, Giuseppe . . . almost an "On Golden Pond" composition.  You will figure out the separation.    Morphing, Layering etc.  For example, layer two identical pianos - then cross fade the left one into the right one - or maybe two different pianos.  Be prepared to sidetrack almost everything else you normally do!

Kudos,

Lanny
