Topic: Strange artifacts in C4-C5 range

Hello, I need some help with some strange sound artifacts ocurring on chords in the C4-C5 range (e.g. Bdim on B4), it's a bit hard to describe, the sound becomes blurry and, for lack of a better word, "cheap". I've only modified the velocity curve but that has no impact, the rest of the parameters is stock, what should I tune to fix this? Curiously, this happens on both the Steinway and the K2. Thanks much for any tips!

not sure what you mean.  could you maybe upload an example to show what you're hearing?

Sure, here goes. What I'm failing to describe can be heard in the first second or so of the first chord: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1l1q0uyLu_rpH7yQY2LMdnwBxtklEuh0Z/view?usp=sharing

Same problem on chrome, but it worked using microsoft edge

Doesn't sound odd to me at all (maybe the overtones are a bit pronounced)

If you copy and paste the link instead of clicking it, it'll work in chrome.
I didn't hear anything strange either, but I don't have a well-trained ear. Does it still sound strange using different headphones or speakers as well? I kept hearing weird "cheap" sounding tones when played over my cheap speakers, but they'd go away when I plugged my better quality headphones in.
I know that kinda sounds obvious, just wanted to point out the link solution

Using DT 880 pro headphones. It's probably my imagination then... thanks for taking the time to reply.

Sounds like phasing to me. If that's the case, it will be audible over loudspeaker but not headphones.

I've been investigating this kind of problem and have some posts with more details:
