Carla Bley, 85, still going strong, yes but why the saxophon…the piano was accompaniment.
I like your version much. It took me one minute and 20 seconds to realize, that now you are bringing something special to the table….3,20 - 4,40 Wow!

thank you for the kind words about the performance.
Carla is one of my heroes and i hope, if i am lucky enough to make it to her age, that i can still make music. oddly enough, from interviews it seems that she doesn't consider herself to be good at improvising on the spot and doesn't want to do that in performances. she said she likes it when she has lots of time to think about the notes, i.e. composition. one of the all time greats, imo.
