Topic: How to change combination easily with feet

Hi Organteq users,

playing Organteq with only two keyboards (digital piano Roland FP30 and M-Audio keystation 61MK3), I wanted to find a system to swith between combinations without removing my hands from the keyboards. With this goal, I have realized a system with a simple MIDI interface board from MIDI Hardware, some wire, push button, four wood planks and a few hours of work. All the details to realize that are on the link here :

I hope that it will help Organteq users who play this very nice instrument without an organ console.

I just apologize if you find some English mistakes in the document. English is not my native language .

Very clever!

Reminds me of the old "Heathkit" days of gadgets made from easily purchased electrical components.  Good use of simple technology as adaptable to existing equipment.  Excellent detailed 'do it yourself' write-up.

That IS very clever, and inspiring that you designed and constructed your own foot controller. Thank you for sharing that idea and documenting how you did it.

Another possibility is to use a latching footswitch array, as are often used on stage by guitarists, such as this one, which transmits MIDI Program Change numbers that can be MIDI-mapped in Organteq to activate a particular combination piston, or change to a different bank of combination pistons/switches. I've been using one of these for several years with Pianoteq and Organteq.

The Yamaha MFC10 also looks interesting--

And here are images of a lot of different brands and types of MIDI footswitches--
