Not electronic

Re: once upon a time

Hi again Will!  I said earlier I can not help but analyze what I am listening to nowadays.

At first I noticed the nice harmonica intro - good sound.
Secondly, I immediately payed attention to the nice drum comp. Is it you live or do you use an autocomp workstation or…
Then I became aware of how you play piano. I like how you build it up, the piano playing which is very restful and beautiful (can’t play/improvise so pleasingly, I mean, in your very satisfying, appealing manner, I play just ….eh…Bach chorales
Then my observation of, as I hear it, a very nice sounding double bass.
In your playing, the first little highlight (for me) is 0,44 - 1,00 - interesting how you build it up, this piece. Second highlight 1,28 - 1,35 - but 1,50 - 2,30  is a bit different, but nice.
The sound at the end, is it from the harmonica?
Well, this is how I react this time, how it affected me positively

Before I write my analyze, I listen to the music several times.. As I listen, I note down my thoughts and feelings. Next, I think how to introduce and summarize the music, give my opinion.
Thanks for sharing. It was enjoyable

And the name, heading, Once upon a time - I like it. I remember the tale of two frogs "Once upon a time"  - Once upon a time, there were two frogs, one was an optimist and the other was a pessimist……I think this music could be in the intro to that tale, I saw in my mind the frogs jumping to music in beginning…well, talking about how music affect us

And then I saw this ”Not electronic” and burst out laughing   You have a good sense of humor, that’s nice.

Stay well and safe,

Stig

Re: once upon a time

Thanks Stig ! Glad it worked for you.

Yes, it is me on drums, I just looped myself (lazy I am). I suppose the sound at the end is the harmonica, it is the same sound that I used at the beginning, if I understood you well. To me, a perfect example of restful and beautiful playing is "Alone and I" by Hancock, with beautiful voicing. Bach isn't really easy to play, maybe one of the most difficult composers to interpret.

Such a picture (with frogs) !

Cheers

Will
