Topic: Introductory video lessons for new organists

Here is a YouTube page from the American Guild of Organists, listing 30 videos for the aspiring pianist who is taking up playing the organ.  I am just a few videos into them, as they are describing how organs are set up, the differences between pianos and organs, and how to finger the music to make up for the absence of a sustain pedal as you try to play legato.

This is the best set of organ introductory videos that I have yet found.

David,

Just found your post. I own Pianoteq and have a Organteq trial. I know nothing about organs. Thanks for the link.

The organist's primer on youtube is also an amazing help...

worth spending time with. I often refer people to these as well as the AGO, etc.

I'd highly recommend organteq, that said, get to understand playing an organ, then you might find yourself really wanting to set up.
