Topic: Control Surface concepts for Organteq...

Hi folks,

Well, there was me thinking that building my console would be somewhat of a stressful time. However, A company was brought to my attention, Yaeltex.com, a developer based within Europe who manufactures custom control systems for MIDI based applications and more. The website allows you to develop custom solutions of your own and as such, I have worked on a few concepts to share.

This is a custom control system to work both Organteq as a 3 manual system plus another system in development.

An advanced programmer interface which if Organteq were to go full voicing, this would be a good concept.

Lew,

The Factory for Yaeltex V2 appears to be absolutely enthralling. To be given free range in toy factory, with the ability to design your own toys, which will then do exactly what you want them to do and to also be easily accessible for your control, would be every tinkerers day-dream. So, rather than relying on the design layouts of other people, you can craft your own boxes to best suit the way you would want interact with them. All in all, a brilliant find.

You will, no doubt, have countless hours of innocent and worthwhile time designing accessible controls both for yourself and other organists.

One point. Yaeltex is based in Buenos Aires, Argentina not in Palermo, Sicily, though I doubt that this makes much difference, as they appear to ship worldwide the physical copies of a customers design. Their contact details on their website are rather confusing, but it is the +54 prefix to their phone numbers that anchors them in Argentina.

I found this article to be rather interesting and complimentary of the application

Hopefully we will soon hear whispers of the Pampas in Prestatyn, although rolling Armadillos down the Great Orme might be a trifle wild. Have fun designing; I’m sure you will.

Hey, Thanks for that,

These designs are based primarily on my own needs as a blind organist, I don't want to be in front of the host navigating with a keyboard with screen reader running, that's too much grief. So, this solution, primarily for my own needs, could well spread. Only downside to this is the issue that if a 4th manual was needed in the master controller concept, the software limits to 16 digital boards even with such a large frame to it. so I'd lose vital controls. unless a master board for general and other functions was developed. I had initially thought of using 2 jambs and a master control set aside, but the cost to achieve all 3 units is over €1200
