I liked the second piece best. Because, 1) it’s Bechstein sound, and 2) several parts in the music reminds me of Saint-Saëns ”Le Carnaval des animaux”.
I thought of Poules et coqs, Hémiones (animaux véloces) donkeys that come from Tibet and are known for their great speed, Kangourous and Fossiles (although some part could be played faster). 3) the piece does not end so quickly, good (5,30).
Someone said ”Every music piece has beauty but not everyone can hear it because we hear different”. Well, I feel the beauty in ”Suite pour hier soir” and enjoyed it much.
Thank you, Gérard. You are undoubtedly much more than an above-average composer in the 21st century with your own style.
