Re: Song Without Words 1

Hi! Nice to have you back again in this sub-forum.
I always like your way of using chords, the sound is great. It gives a special harmony throughout the piece.
Nice way it goes from 0,19 to 0,35 and 0,55 to 1,11. And then the middle part 1,16 to 1,30 change it all a bit.
And one of my favourites is Piano-Strings 1 on Youtube. Beautiful, beautiful but a little bit sad. It’s short but a Masterpiece. I can close my eyes and dream away from this difficult covid-time, again and again….Thank you very much.
And thankfully, I found Piano Strings 2 still in forum. Masterpiece 2 ! Those strings goes so well with Pianoteq. You make undoubtedly interesting, different, good music. If possible, make another with strings. Thanks.

Thank you Stig for the comments and the nudge. I do like the sound of strings layered with piano, so I'll work on more of that. Enjoying your work as always.

Re: Song Without Words 1

Well done Stephen, I really enjoy the sense of casual melody through the middle - and can imagine this developed/arranged in various ways. I enjoy imagining those possibilities.

From it, I kind of feel.. afternoon in a sunny-side room with orange blushed curtains catching some warm rays - and thinking about the 70s, or being in a care-free time and place - there could be some story beyond the sense of that - keep at this - would love to hear it with instrumentation!

Do I sense collaboration with dear Stig? That would be fun to hear - I actually do hear something of the Pianoteqenthusiast style in that piece on listening again (nothing too specific - just detect a casual sense of a contained though palpable sort of contentment, perhaps along with some sense of yearning too).

What a wonderful description. I'll take it!
A persistent "sunny-side room with orange blushed curtains" sounds like an ideal study, meditation chamber and personal habitat to me, perhaps with a nice view and some pretty flowers outside; moody weather is also welcome on occasion.

Ha yes, as they say in colder places, throw those curtains wide! Variety

My space is kind of linen and hardwood, dark blue-tones in carpet, wood mostly - but it is mostly about insulating myself in there - outside is good wide spaces, semi-rural and where the fresh air and wilderness calls. Contrast is important for good processes I feel.

Realized a little later, a few places in young years contributed to that description - one in particular, a long stay in a tropical locale in the 60s came back to me - I'd forgotten that place in time and it brought back a load of good memories (otherwise were just bubbling in background processes) - and hey, that's thanks to your piece - thank you!
