Topic: Share Pianoteq Sound via Livestream

Hello there,

since corona hit the market I am forced to teach a lot of stuff online via microsoft teams. There is the opion of sharing system sound which works for letting the students hear stuff from spotify or youtube. However if I want to showcase some stuff on the piano (and playing on my piano via microphon is not the best sollution here soundwise and cause of the neighboures) I would like them to hear the pianoteq sound but it does not work, they dont hear that. Is there a specific setting for that? some magical button I have to click to make it work? Would love to get help here.

Re: Share Pianoteq Sound via Livestream

Recently I've been experimenting with sharing my Pianoteq sound via Skype - I found that using 'Windows Audio' (not the Exclusive mode) in Pianoteq and then 'Share computer sound' in Skype did the trick. Not sure what the equivalent settings would be in Mac or Linux, though. I hope this helps a bit.

Re: Share Pianoteq Sound via Livestream

Thanks for answering fast. I could try that, currently I am running my audio through my audiointerface (which keeps the latency low). So my mic via steinberg UR44 and the soundoutput via UR44. Any Idea why this doesnt work with Pianoteq (I hear the sound, but not the students). Same with my DAW. They dont hear that too, only Youtube or Spotify or other systemaudio

Re: Share Pianoteq Sound via Livestream

It's probably something to do with Asio. I've tried using Asio output with Skype but the sound just crashes (the people the other end can't hear anything at all). Voicemeeter (free/donationware) is supposed to work with Asio ( https://vb-audio.com/Voicemeeter/ ) but I couldn't get it to work for me. Give it a try - maybe you'll have better luck!
