Topic: Brahms opus 117

I spent my Pianoteq competition coupon on the Grotrian.  So far, I'm very pleased with the results.

Excellent performance and really cool midi visualization! Is it commercially available software or something you've developed yourself? Which preset of Grotrian did you use?

Re: Brahms opus 117

Nice interpretation, and the Grotrian fits well at Brahms' music.
What did you use to make the video ?

Re: Brahms opus 117

Thanks for your positive comments!

I wrote my own Python code to generate the videos (both this one and some previous recordings).  It's rather messy, and probably not easy to use unless you've done a bit of programming and are comfortable with the command line.  But if you want to have a go, you'll find the code at https://github.com/hanysz/midi_python_animations

My inspiration was Stephen Malinowski's "musanim" YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/smalin/videos

Preset at https://forum.modartt.com/file/coiqck5n  It's based on the high microphone placement as discussed at https://forum.modartt.com/viewtopic.php?id=7411

Wow - so good hanysz. Great sound and excellent experience. I'm so pleased to enjoy your progress with the preset through to the music which is so fine. Plus software - such creativity! The Grotrian sounds as wonderful here as your performance is, thank you for sharing.

Thanks for listening, and for taking the time to comment!  Number 3 is the one I found most challenging to interpret.  I'm glad it worked for you!
