Topic: Should Modartt create a Grand Piano and Upright instrument pack?

So I was thinking because Pianoteq seems very shallow and thin on the Upright piano front. Should Modartt create an Upright model with every new Grand Piano pack they come out with so in that way you get to choose between the two models? That is depending whether the company make Upright pianos of course. I actually played on a Steingraeber upright and an Bluethner upright and I have to admit I actually preferred the uprights of both models.

I think it is only fair to to have the choice of the two in each instrument pack.

I like the idea of eventually seeing some more pianos which are particularly designed for small spaces. Baby grands as well as uprights.

Maybe my fav upright was a 1990s Kawai - it was a stunning sound and played like a dream.

Although I really do find the U4 upright in Pianoteq incredibly editable in any way I can imagine. Feeling it can do pretty much anything I need.

I totally agree with the U4 but as with the grands every upright has its own unique sound, even more so I find with uprights due to their character.

One thing I was quite pleasantly surprised with was how close the Steinway B sounds to the actual piano itself. I have been listening to a lot of Robert Clasper recently, he plays a Steinway and I noticed when I played the Steinway B from Pianoteq it sounds so close minor the fizzle in the higher register and the lack of bass on the lower notes but it is very close indeed. Such a beautiful Steinway sound Robert Glasper's piano.
I cannot wait for Pianoteq 7 if it is even in production....

Thanks D, I'll go check out some Robert Clasper music. The Pianoteq Steinway B is a real fav!

I'm not much of a fan of upright pianos. I would love to see more studio grands.

There is a typo in the name it is Robert Glasper not Clasper, sorry my bad.
