Topic: Summer promo

Good idea...

...But infortunately I upgraded from stage to standard a month to early...
...Why not a promo on some instruments ?

Why not a commercial gesture for those who bought or upgraded recently to standard version ?
With the différence of 36 € I payed a month ago I could almost have bought a new instrument ...
It's annoying...

And no offer for Standard to Pro
And about instruments would be good.

Re: Summer promo

Stage + 1 instrument = standard

I was wondering the same thing...

I'm a little bummed because I waited months for this sale, hoping to be able to grab a bunch of expansion packs for a bit of a better price, and now NONE of the expansions are on sale.

Isn't it in Modartt's best interests to have a little something in this sale for all of it's customers?

If they don't want to have an across-the-board discount on all of the expansions, why not pick a few to put on sale to give customers and incentive to buy an expansion they might not have been intending to add to their collection? They could even put a 30% discount on a few of their expansions that don't sell as well as the others. That gets people jumping in on that expansion. Toontrack is great with their sales promoting a few expansions each sale that some customers may not have been paying attention to.

Another option would be something like BUY 3 expansions and GET a fourth one FREE!! That's a 25% discount which encourages customers to buy 3 expansion packs. I would certainly do it, and might do it twice.

In all honestly, I was intending to buy a bunch of expansions on sale (and was expecting a 30% discount based on previous sales). I would love the full Studio Bundle but can't afford that right now... but I was going to try and equip myself with a bunch of the expansions I would use more often.

I love this company and their amazing products... but it seems like they are shooting themselves in the foot a little by not giving all of their customers a good opportunity to treat themselves to some new instruments.

Is there any chance this deal could still be modified and enhanced with one of these options, or is this gonna be it?

You might try writing Modarrt directly and explain what happened.  They may be able to help you via email.

Re: Summer promo

The upgrade from Stage to Standard is a no brainer for me. An extra instrument pack included as well as the capability to load FXPs. Plus, we may be seeing Pianoteq 7 in the next year and I think we’d get a free upgrade to that if it occurred within a year of activation. Correct me if I'm wrong about that. The longest time between version releases in the past has been a little over 3 years and we're approaching that now. Now to decide which instrument pack to get...

If you like electric pianos, go for those. They’re magnificent. Otherwise, I would suggest the Steingraeber, Grotrian and Ant. Petrof, in that order, although the latter two may be switched according to taste.

I'm going to be doing a lot of playing to figure it out. Considering the Celesta, K2 since a lot of FXPs use it to emulate other pianos, and Steingraber.

That K2 is pretty great indeed.

Re: Summer promo

I don't even have the possibility of getting either a discount or a bonus instrument (beside the all of the ones produced in the next year that is.)

Is that correct? I've seen the year thing on the site somewhere, but is that just for all the 6.x.x updates free for a year?

I'm confused. If you bought Pianoteq 6.0 three years ago, shouldn't everyone here be on 6.7.3 for free?

Re: Summer promo

Heya Jellotree,

Upgrade refers to full versioning, whereas updates are the free increments

Let's say you buy ver 6, but then if ver. 7 comes out within the following year, the "upgrade" will be free.

Any of the Version.X.X "updates" are free immediately and beyond 1 year. No more to pay for those.

Re: Summer promo

It is the last day or the summer promo...
Please Pianoteq, what will you do for people not concerned ? Them who bought standard just before the promo...
When can we hope a promo on instruments for exemple ?
20 % 30% on instruments or three instruments for the price of two...

Philippe Guillaume... si vous me lisez... merci...

Re: Summer promo

Suggestion for version 7.
Why not a real "full screen" for the standalone.
With all accessible options on it... or
When you want just to play...
A great picture of the instrument you are playing.
And toggle to chose easely other instrument among your favorites.

I know these are details for a so perfect software...

You probably already know this, but in case you don't...

Under Options > General, you can adjust the interface magnification by as much as a giant 250% which would probably be too big for most screens. I have mine set to "large (150%)" which is a nice interface size for my displays.

Re: Summer promo

Pianoteq already has a fullscreen option -- see "Toggle fullscreen mode" under the Window menu. I use it all the time and I'm very happy with it even though it does have black bars on the side (not a big deal). The keyboard shortcuts are also stellar.

Re: Summer promo

Yes, I know the full screen option but it is not really "full screen". A very large part of the screen is not used.
This free place should be used for icons of favorites instruments for exemple. And as I said before a big picture of the instrument your are playing when you want just to play would be nice. I think the interface of pianoteq is the only tiny little flaw of the software.

True, the real estate could be better used in full screen. It also sounds like you want a separate "screensaver" mode.

Personally I'd be interested in Pianoteq-in-a-box, where Pianoteq would be in headless mode but controlled via physical knobs. Pianoteq already supports configuring various settings via MIDI and runs on ARM, so I guess it might be doable to an extent.

Alternately, Pianoteq on iPad would be good too.

Hey, I'm discovering this Full Screen mode ! I had never seen this feature before !
How could I live without it ! It changed my life ! Thanks Navindra !
