Topic: Bach Menuet in G (sometimes attributed to Christian Petzold)

Favorite selections from Organteqenthusiast’s music collection. Today’s selection is:

Bach Menuet in G Major (sometimes attributed to Christian Petzold)

Organteq shows, that pretty beauty can come out from even the simplest music, and as a whole, give pleasure to the senses ( at least for me
Tempo is about same as Ton Koopman uses, playing harpsichord on Youtube. Arr. by Marcus Tore’n, two manuals and pedale.
Hope you enjoy!

Thank you for your kind words, gtingley!  It is from a book I found in our library - Lux festiva, arr. by Marcus Torén ( write it in Google and you can see the whole content). Many of my 64 recordings with Orgtq so far, are from this book. My favorite recording from this book is The Arrival of Queen of Sheba

I’m an old retired teacher (primary school). When young my piano teacher thought I will never be a player (he said I couldn’t keep rhytm etc.). I was sad. I didn’t play for years. As a teacher I could in any case accompany the childrens singing. And from that, I began training on my own, learning what a chord is and so on….Now I’m a ”caregiver” 24/7 taking care of my wife, sitting in wheel chair. Every 2-3 hours now and then a day when free time, I’m playing, playing….best time 23-02
I have been playing now since 2013 when I found Pianoteq. I have played in church service when organist was ill. Now I know that it is not too late to learn playing. I’m getting better and better because I’m playing every day 2-3 hours. I thought 2013 I can never play Bach’s music. But, now I did it!
You ask about my training - well, In organ all the sustaining functions of the notes should be handled with fingers and it is little difficult to achieve when compared to piano. But the regular practice makes everything easier so it is better to own an organ. I suggest you immediately buy Organteq
