Topic: Explaining Physical Modeling

I recently found an article on a university website that explains "Physical Modeling for Audio Synthesis".

I found it interesting and decided to share it with you:

Re: Explaining Physical Modeling

it looks very interesting.  but unfortunately my Portuguese is nonexistent!  i know how to say "obrigado" and that's about it.

i've found some other things about modelling pianos online, like this thesis:

https://hal.inria.fr/hal-00873089/document

Phillipe used to have a homepage at his position in Toulouse, with some modelling papers, although i don't remember seeing any about the piano model.  i couldn't find his page for this post, so maybe he is no longer affiliated with them?

Sorry for not having it in English. But I believe that translating it is not difficult with Google Translate features.

I found it interesting because it clarifies the generation of sound from scratch, something that fans of sampled instruments do not believe or say is impossible.
