Topic: A tribute to Olivier Messaien

Hello All

This is a new musical adventure for me
I played and composed a lot of baroque and classical music and I began to feel like a prisoner.
I decided to change the things and... turned to DEbussy and Messaien modes.

Here is my first attempt to create a Toccata

It is different but now I think that I'll discover new musical universes

I hope that you like this

A new adventure, yes. Go on in this direction. Interesting musical ”elements” in your piece, your musical language. Thank you. You made me curious about Messiaen’s music. I listened to his organ music on youtube, Transport de joie, was interesting. Sounded much more difficult than Schönberg’s Festmusik.
Amazing, filled with power. Was thinking how can anyone even learn this?
Anyway, thanks for uploading!

Thank you for this encouragement. I'll keep on...

Fascinating stuff!  Some new harmonies, and yet parts of it still have a baroque feel :-)
