Topic: Arabic music with Organteq

Arabic music (from an arabic folk tune). I tried a new combination of stops to get the sound I wanted for this special music piece
Until now/to date my way of combining Organteq stops have not reached the end The possibilities of combining stops seem endless (almost). It’s a fantastic instrument. Thank you, Roman and Modartt team!
Next I could try to find chinese music….

A nice camel ride in the Sahara !
There you are opening up new horizons for the organ!
(although it may not be easy to carry an organ on a camel back...)
But 1'30 is a bit short! We'd like to hear more!

You nailed it, a nice camel ride in Sahara   I was thinking about Albert Ketelbey (died 1959) and his In a Persian market. The caravan comes closer and my music gets louder when it passes in front of me, then music decreases when caravan continues its journey behind the horizon and the market place become silent
You can carry an organ on a camel back, a laptop with organteq and a loudspeaker on your back

Hi Stig, a powerful approach to pair music with a narrative, this leaves the mind to create the images on it's own. Great job!

What a fascinating and beautiful project Stig! Adapting an Arabic folk tune to the pipe organ is no easy task, but your registration choices fit the modal character and ornamentation of the music wonderfully.

It's amazing how Organteq continues to surprise us—the depth of physical modeling really opens up virtually endless possibilities for creative stop combinations and non-traditional sonorities. Exploring Chinese traditional music next sounds like a fantastic idea, and I can't wait to hear how you tackle those microtonal nuances and pentatonic textures on the organ!
