Topic: Any insights on Output Parameter Wall distance?

Hi,

in Parameter Freeze - Ouput section is a parameter "Wall distance".

I assume it's about the distance of a piano's back from a wall (Uprights only?).

Is this correct?

How does this parameter work exactly?

I use Pteq Pro and so far i couldn't figure out where / how to set up "Wall distance".

Music was my first love. And it will be my last. Music of the future. And music of the past (John Miles)

Only the upright U4 has a back wall that you can see and move in the Sound Recording section. Of course you need to have the U4 to use it.

From what I have seen about studio piano recordings, perhaps one is needed to record a grand piano as well.

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

Yes, even when recording in a concert hall (no audience) pianos are often pushed closer to the back wall for quicker early reflections.
