Topic: J. S. Bach - Prelude and Fugue in G Minor BWV 558

This time I play, for the first time, both Prelude and Fugue. I think my faster tempo, than people use on Youtube, change the character, more spirited, perhaps, full of enthusiasm - Organteqenthusiast - ic   :-) Read somewhere that tempo in most copies indicates a little slower, although some people play it faster than me. But faster make a bit sparkly sensation of ”arpeggios” in right hand, and maybe sustained chords not drag.
The pedal is not playing so much in the fugue, wondering why….but, nevertheless it is Bach, yes! (or his pupil…)? This was more difficult to me than BWV 552 that i like so much. This collection ”Eight little preludes and fugues”, 553 - 560, are not easy ( for me). Nevertheless, I decided to try BWV 556 as next (if I find the notes), love those triplets. Listened on Youtube.
BTW, I got so sweaty and warm when struggling with this piece. And these Organteq pipes are so sensitive to temperature that I think my body heat affected the tuning :-)  :-)  Can’t keep the room temp.  59°F/15°C  all the time :-)

Very nice again! Shows Organteq can really sound appropriate for Bach even if it is a French Romantic organ.
Do you have a pedalboard or do you play the pedal part separately on the keyboard and mix afterwards?
Anyway, keep them coming...

Hi Gilles! Nice that you like the sound of Organteq with Bach music. It is so interesting to try out different stops together, registration. I think every my piece so far have different registration - it is much about how I feel for the piece I am playing.
So far I play pedal from keyboard, choosing the saved midimapping ”One keyboard split”, as the Help say in Example 2: a keyboard split for pianist.
Planning to buy pedalboard and another keyboard - it’s my dream, two keyboards and a pedalboard. But, my financial situation don’t allow it this year……
Thank you for your comments and those encouraging words ”keep them coming”. They mean a lot to me on my journey through the time of the baroque :-)
