Wonderful! Your compositions seem accessible, yet seem to come from some realm beyond understanding. So impressive.

It's not my fault, often that's beyond my own understanding...

Well, your music often seems spontaneously improvised on the one hand, yet meticulously organized on the other. So if they are improvised, they seem to indicate a very deep knowledge and understanding of music, with no obvious "wrong notes" or melodic or harmonic "dead ends," and if they are carefully composed and practiced in advance of recording them, they seem to show an unusually high amount of spontaneous creativity. They never seem ponderous or constrained by their structure, and continually exceed the bounds of the musical structure they possess.
Maybe I'm just thinking too much about it. Your work is just very impressive.

Well, your music often seems spontaneously improvised on the one hand,
Yes, improvised, the one hand being Pianoteq
yet meticulously organized on the other.
In this case, the other hand is Reaper, where I generally (and "a posteriori") "meticulouslly reorganize" everything, speeding up the tempo if I didn't paly fast enough, correcting wrong notes, temporally shifting notes that are not in place and and raise the velocity of the ones we can't hear because I didn't hit them hard enough...

Merci Stephen,
As I really appreciate your music, your comments are very valuable to me.
For my latest piece "Pur Bio" made this morning, I didn't rework anything, it's the improvisation as it comes out of Pianoteq...
Thank you for demystifying to some extent your creative process and interesting workflow. The real mystery, though, seems to be within your mind and psyche.
Pur Bio is beautiful with no editing at all.
