Topic: Studiologic 990pro / Fatar TP40 Keybed

I Recently got a Studiologic 990pro keyboard off of craigslist for a good price because some keys were not working and velocities were terribly inconsistent.  I cleaned the rubber contacts and carbon pads on the MIDI PCB board but that did not help, I think I need to replace the rubber contacts, which are now on order.

My question has to do with the keybed itself.  My understanding is that it is graded hammer action.   Yet all the hammers are the exact same size and shape.  I also noticed that when looking at Fatar's site, the photograph of the TP40 clearly shows pink clips that the keys snap into.  Mine are blue.  What I am wondering is if perhaps my keybed is one of the non graded versions of the tp40 even though it came out of a 990pro keyboard which clearly states it is a graded hammer keyboard.

I noticed in one of Sigasa's post a video showing the TP40wood keybed and the tabs were pink like on the Fatar site. It also looked like the ends of the hammers were configured differently for the different weights. I know this is a very specific post, but any insight would be appreciated.  The keybed has a sticker on the back that shows it is from 2004.

Re: Studiologic 990pro / Fatar TP40 Keybed

The TP40 and TP40 WOOD are very different

The TP400 and TP40WOOD are the two keybeds used in the NUMA and NUMA Nero respectively

The TP400 and TP40WOOD have the extended throw to mimic more accurately that of an acoustic grand piano

The TP40 does not have this increased throw design

"TP/40: Professional Digital Piano. The new design of the hammer and the return spring application creates the right combination for the press of the keys as on the real Acoustic Piano. 76 & 88 keys, Dynamic rubber contacts, Monophonic Aftertouch available.

TP/40GH: Four Zones Graded Hammer Action.

TP/40H: Hard Touch Feeling 95 gr

TP/40M: Medium Touch Feeling 85gr.

TP/40L: Light Touch Feeling 75gr."

Re: Studiologic 990pro / Fatar TP40 Keybed

Hi
Anyone have any experience with Studiologic NUMA (white)? How is in comparison with NUMA NERO in action?
Does the NUMA white is supported by Windows 7? These websites mention on XP and Vista only:

How NUMA is working with Macbook Air?
