Topic: Suggestion A-B repeat

Hi,

I'm trying to practice a song using PTQ while listening to the MID in the same.

Missed an A-B repeat option so that I could loop a little part of the MID file, and practice along to it.

Is that maybe possible in the future? Or is it a more complex process that it seems?

I know some will say use a DAW etc. So this is being precisely because I don't like to use a DAW for it.

Regards,
David

Re: Suggestion A-B repeat

You can assign any MIDI message to A/B switch action then you have control over it yourself.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Suggestion A-B repeat

Say man, how in the world can you assign a MIDI message to loop a part of a MIDI file in Pianoteq?  I'd like to know right now, if you can do it.

Please advise.

My thanks, I advance.

Oh wait, I completely misread the post. Haha. I thought about A/B presets, not the MIDI file section. Apologies!

Hard work and guts!

Re: Suggestion A-B repeat

I assigned the action of the middle pedal to play the midi file. Left pedal - Download the last played MIDI file. Nicely. But there is no repetition of the part from A to B ..
And if you keep the pedal to the end of the playback, the file will start playing again, but without holding the pedal. This is not very convenient.

Thank you, that would make the trick.

Although it's not a very chick solution, if you ask me.

Would love to see an actual option there specifically for this purpose, I don't think it should be a big programming deal.
