Topic: BUG: Visible GUI causes Xruns

Tests:

JACK buffer Size 32:
1. GUI visible - Xrun on every keypress
2. GUI not visible - no Xruns

JACK buffer Size 64:
1. GUI visible - occasional Xruns
2. GUI not visible - no Xruns

System Information:
Linux Kernel 5.2.10 RT
Pianoteq v6.5.4
CPU governor performance

My whole system runs trough JACK e.g. i can watch movies without any XRuns. Thus i think it is fair to call this behavior a bug.

Re: BUG: Visible GUI causes Xruns

Interesting,

Can you describe your system's spécifications, which soundcard do you use and which sample rate?
32 buffer is very, very low. IMO, not necessary.
Anyway, I will test on my system.

Sample rate = 48kHz
Soundcard = Focusrite Scarlett Solo

I have low-latency fetish

Re: BUG: Visible GUI causes Xruns

Same with 4.x RT-kernel? (the 5.2.10 is fairly new)
Is your distro (?) GUI  X11 or wayland based?

Distro is  Manjaro I3 edition, which is X11 based.
I will test 4.x RT-kernel tomorrow. Am i only one suffering from this?
