Topic: Setting up pianoteq . Need some help

Hi,

I currently have a kawai ca78 and have recently discovered pianoteq. I wanna use the internal sound of my piano so I've plugged the midi cables from my piano into the laptop and the midi seems to be good but I don't get any sound from pianoteq. I have downloaded the asio drivers. I got ASIO then Realtek HDA SPDIF out 1 and 2 as output audio

Re: Setting up pianoteq . Need some help

Are you able to play the Blues Demo in Pianoteq and hear sound from your PC?

Are you asking to route the Audio from the PC to the Kawai?

I think, you would opt for one of both options. Probably the latter.

Have you selected the right audio settings (under Options)?
Read the manual (under Help).

Have a nice day & happy playin'

I think realtek spdif is not the right choice.
It is a digital out.
You have to look in the asio panel for analog outputs.....

Re: Setting up pianoteq . Need some help

I'm using Windows 10. Pianoteq 6.5.4. USB.

My sound options are Audio Device Type:

DirectSound (Sound).
Windows Audio (Sound).

Windows Audio (Exclusive Mode) (No sound).
ASIO (No sound).

Output: Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) (Sound).

Output: Speakers (Realtek Digital Output(Opitcal)) (No sound).
Output: Speakers (Realtek Digital Output) (No sound).

Are you guys all using external speakers ? Is it just plugged on the computer ?  I don't get sound from demo. I only get sound from pianoteq on my computer's speakers when I'm on DirectSound as the chosen audio. I don't have anything on ASIO even with earphones

Re: Setting up pianoteq . Need some help

I have connected my Yamaha cp33 piano via USB into my PC (Linux). For audio output, I use an external USB-soundcard (Focusrite scarlett 2i2, but the aux-output of the computer sound card should work as well). Two active speakers are connected to the sound card.
But you have to select the right output in Pianoteq (Options -->  Devices --> Output). Play with the output settings. One of those will work. It may be called "Built-in Output".

Have a nice day & happy playin'
