Topic: Is Editing of posts gone?

I just realized that I can no longer edit my posts - Is that gone?  Granted, I was just going to add a 'close parenthesis' to grammatically correct a phrase, so it's not important, but I was a bit discouraged at the loss of this ability.

You may have just encountered a temporary glitch!

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Yeah I can confirm it's not there anymore...

Hard work and guts!

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Also confirming same here.

Maybe not such a bad thing, as it's probably OK to teave a lypo or 2 erevy gow and anain and might make us prouf reed befawe poasting jest a leetel more thurrowlea.

But might indeed be somewhat discouraging to some, or even inhibit discussion? Fear that we could make an irreparable mistake can cause careful people to avoid (said the careless guy).

Some might like to be able to go back to correct grammatical things like David wanted, or to add a kind of "updated with correct info" type edit (something I have done more than once).

The only front-facing positive to it would be to prevent Orwellian re-editing of past 'arguments' to look better to future observers.

The back-end positive though could be to stave off upgrading hosting to cope with all of us typo correcting perfectionistas

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Looks like it was a temporary forum glitch. I see the option to edit posts.

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Then my temporary glitch is still in its temporary phase.

Perhaps you would find it changes if you clear internet cache in your browser?  -not that I did anything like that here.

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Doesn't help. It's probably some forum software glitch.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

Now, I see no way is available for end users (forum post members) to delete any of their past post mistakes  —no joking!

The once available option that a member sometimes used to delete his or her needless posts, has been removed, without any forewarning given to debate.

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

I can delete my posts, I see the option. Try logging out then back in, and also Ctrl+F5 to refresh the page with cache cleared.

Hard work and guts!

Re: Is Editing of posts gone?

I see my option has returned.  I just did a restart.  Thank you!
