Topic: Demo woes on Snow Leopard...

Hey all!

After seeing PianoTeq in use at a friends studio, I was really excited to try it out in mine - for several reasons my main computer in the studio is a rather ancient Mac Pro running 10.6.8 (which due to the hardware, I'm unable to go past to 10.7!).

Searched the forum here and found a link to a legacy demo of the software, which installed and seemingly runs fine (MIDI all working etc). However, I can't hear any output when playing anything - tried all of the presets to see if I was missing a trick, but nope! The hardware outputs are set coorectly, and when I hit the 'test' button, I hear audio - absolutely nothing from any instrument though! Only got the demo yesterday, haven't had any messages about it timing out or anything...

Any help is really appreciated

Many thanks,

J

Re: Demo woes on Snow Leopard...

Could you clarify :

* If you get no sound at all from Pianoteq even when playing a MIDI file in Pianoteq

* If you get sounds from MIDI file playing through PIanoteq but not from the keyboard being used

* If you open the "Options" window and select the MIDI tab, do you see MIDI key numbers being displayed when you hit they keys ?

* What you see when on the Options->Devices tab (maybe a screen capture would help).

* When you say "test button" do you mean one in the operating system or the one in the Options->Devices tab ? (again maybe a screen capture might help people).
