Topic: Troublesome, a bit frustrated - Day in June

After my music ”Night in May”, I tried to make a piece about month June (”Day in June”) and summer. But, at the same time, this music describe that troublesome evening. Couldn’t get the music completed, Started again several times, got good news, not so good news, got interrupted, annoying …..so I left the composition (this way).
Thought it’s a fiasco, but I share it, because in a way, I think it’s quite funny  :-)  Have fun!

Just a question:
can you post your general EQ settings?
Your recordings sound excellent with my equipment, while my own Pianoteq sound doesn'

Re: Troublesome, a bit frustrated - Day in June

Hi MrRoland,

Interesting, I didn’t change the original Steingraeber Warm EQ. Only impedance from 0,94 to 1,00 and dynamics from 42 to 47. And much less keyboard sensivity (M-Audio 88). Have a Mac mini 2014 2,6 Ghz intel core i5, 8 Gb, Using Focusrite 2i4 (gave a better sound than mini’s sound). Presonus Eris series E5 nearfield monitors.

Had to choose from Yamaha HS 5 or Presonus E5 or KRK Rokit5. Rokit a bit muddy compared to Presonus. I thought that Presonus is like Rokit (the bass) and like Yamaha HS 5 (detail and clarity). If you want Yamaha and Rokit together, then I thought it is Presonus :-) BUT, remeber it will always be a matter of personal taste. That’s what I think about it.

And,thanks for your nice inspiring words about my music!

Thanks for sharing your settings!
Did you changed anything to the master eq or is it just a flat line?

This is from Steingraeber Warm,  equalizer, that I used

Equalizer = [1450, 4500, 6500; 0, 0, +3.0]
