Topic: Try to ”ramble away”

My kind of ”BoogieBlues”. I’m a newbie in this ”genre”, not in the top 1000 ”boogiewoogie” piano performances   :-)  After playing with difficulty, I was relieved when coming to the end :-)

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

Some good playing here - the rough edges actually remind me of some of those old historical recordings of boogie made 70-80 years ago, and even "going off the rails" a couple of times there has a ring of authenticity to it. I might go further and do a little more detuning. Of course, keep practicing so you can sound like Memphis Slim.

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

I have one criticism, you don't play to get to the end!

Pianoteq 8 Studio Bundle, Pearl malletSTATION EM1, Roland (DRUM SOUND MODULE TD-30, HandSonic 10, AX-1), Akai EWI USB, Yamaha DIGITAL PIANO P-95, M-Audio STUDIOPHILE BX5, Focusrite Saffire PRO 24 DSP.

P.S.  as for the video ... nice.  Next time the program stops abruptly you might put a burning spot on the screen.  I am old enough to have seen it actually happen sitting in a school classroom years ago.  HA!

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

Ha ha... delightful!!

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

Thank you so much gtingley, Amen Ptah Ra, LTECpiano and honjr for your nice and inspiring words of encouragement! Learning more and more about music reading your comments and listening to your (and others) music in this fantastic forum. I feel it is like a very large nice family, although I haven’t met someone, yet :-)
I will probably keep practising and explore more in this direction. Thanks!

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

Nice boogieing and bluesing ramble ! It's a good idea to explore more in this direction !
The Bechstein is in it's right place here !

Re: Try to ”ramble away”

Thanks Gaston, for you kind words! And the support to explore more in this direction. Now that I ”rambled away”, I try sooner or later to finally have a kind of ”take off” in my music ( you are probably waiting for it  :-)
