Topic: Chopin's Nocturne No.20 - Pleyel 1905 (Native Instruments)

Hi folks!

A quick shot of this famous Nocturne showcasing the Pleyel 1905 (The Maverick) from Native Instruments.

Thought it could be interesting to consider this piano as a future instrument on PTQ.

The Maverick is a wonderfull piano with soul (I think it's a Bechstein). The other 2 pianos of this collection too.

Thank you for posting this. Very well done

Thanks for watching, glad you liked it!

This is a Pleyel 1905 according their website, the Grandeur is a Steinway D and cannot recall what the third one was, an upright anyway.

I wish if Moddart could work on this Pleyel (among other requests).

Cheers,
David

Which website?
This one:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p...-maverick/
doesn't say anything about the manufacturer

Only in the reviews we can read something about the original instrument,
for example here:
https://ask.audio/articles/review-kompl...collection
"The Maverick is a Vintage Bechstein Grand Piano originally built for his Majesty Prince Friedrich Carl von Preussen in 1905"

Also, there is a photo/image of a piano on the official N.I Maverick site that has "C. Bechstein" on the piano.

My fault, for some reason I had the firm conviction that it was a Pleyel (thought even I'd read it somewhere).

I guess because of unconsciously wanted it so bad.

Thanks and hope you like it anyway.

Yes it's lovely.
Btw when I Google, I can only find mention of Steinway in the context of Prussian princes. (excluding Maverick related pages)

And a correction: the photo is actually on the Galaxy site - not N.I.
