This is very entertaining! Thank you! Nice sounds in different sections - almost fall off my chair at 2,40 - 2,43, what an interesting sound, almost ”otherwordly”, difficult to explain but i like it. One can buy a keyboard and Pianoteq, but you can’t buy the talent. It takes years to play like that. Thank you so much, you inspire me to play more.
And what is the MKII ?
thank you for your nice comment pianoteqenthusiast, I had to repeat it at least fifty times before playing it without fail, and then Cubase helped me for the speed of execution, it relativizes the talent
the MKII is one of Pianoteq's electric pianos
Very enjoyable musical content and performance - particularly loved the bebop section! Interesting blend of acoustic and electric piano. I hope you don't mind me making an observation about the sound, though. As it is, the output volume is rather high (too much yellow on the VU), so you are getting quite a bit of 'strained sound' as the limiter kicks in. So I think that a reduction in the output volume levels would make this sound even better.
I thank you for your comment and also for the comment on the volume of the output, you think that in general it is better to avoid being in the yellow even if you use the limiter?
Pianoteq always sounds to me very 'pushed' when it starts hitting the limiter at the default setting, so I have always tried to avoid going there. However, I just discovered (right-click on the L) that it is possible to alter the settings to make it less aggressive. Always something new to discover in Pianoteq!
Edit: I just had a play around with my limiter settings and then listened to your video again. There does seem to be some clipping from around 3:00 (which can happen even with the limiter on if the volume is a bit high) - but then it could be YouTube's compression that's introducing some distortion there.
