Topic: Tango for 'cello and piano

A little something composed a couple years ago. The 'cello comes from EWQL and the piano, Pianoteq's Digital Bechstein placed in a moderate room with mics generously spaced. EQ has been applied between 1k and 4k to deal with some of those aggressive highs around high C and their overtones. Remember these are the frequencies we hear best so velocity numbers in the editor have to be taken with a grain of salt. There is always the debate whether to bring down the velocity on offending notes or just bring in the EQ. There are tradeoffs but I am only beginning to think of ramifications. Another possibility is just having the mics further from the piano. Your thoughts?

I like it.  Well-balanced.

BEAUTIFUL music, wonderfully arranged and highly polished. So many wonderful details; just great. It seems that this should be included in a film or other type of video for a wide audience.

If this wonderful piece isn't snatched up by some video industry professionals for inclusion in movie or TV, there is something seriously wrong with the A&R company, music library or publisher you are associated with.
