I know it's not a hardware issue because it works with my keyboard's built in sounds and you can see it moving on the screen, but even if you mouse click it down, it doesn't sustain! This just happened and I have re-downloaded Pianoteq to no avail! I also have version 5.8 on my computer and sustain works fine but not in 6.4! Am I the only one with this issue???
Hello Mr. Hastie,
Sorry to read about your dilemma with the sustain pedal not working in Version 6.4.
Upon reading your most recent post, I instantiated Pianoteq 6.4 on my Mac, and clicked on the sustain pedal with the mouse. With every model of piano (and non-piano) I tried, the sustain stayed in the depressed position until I re-clicked it with the mouse. Without exception, my own version of 6.4 worked flawlessly.
Hope this helps,
Joe
EDIT: Just for fun, try right clicking on the actual sustain pedal. A window should pop up which specifies the far right pedal as being the "sustain pedal" -- I tried selecting a choice OTHER than the sustain pedal for the rightmost pedal, and voila, it no longer sustained! When I returned the choice back to "Sustain Pedal", the pedal worked as it should have worked. By chance, could this be the origin of your non-working sustain pedal, in that it has been set to behave like something OTHER than a sustain pedal? Just a thought. Joe
End Edit
