Beautiful program, sound and performance! Schumann and Grieg work really well together. Nice use of scala temperaments. I suppose that's why on YouTube the Steinway B is dated to 1891. It does sound like an older instrument with the Ellis temperament (and maybe some preset work).

Thanks so much, Gilles.  I actually had a good deal of fun coming up with this little mini-program, paying homage in my own small way to the >Stimme< (mood? atmosphere?) of Bergman's depiction of Jul in the Ekdahl house.  Schumann and Grieg both seemed a natural fit given their own artistic outlooks and œuvre.  And you know my bent for historic instruments/HIP... 'just couldn't leave the Steinway alone...
