Topic: Tablet for music display ?

There is probably a thread already on this topic, but I would like recommendations on a tablet that can be combined with a foot pedal for music display.  I'm wondering of the new iPad Pro would be a good choice, or if perhaps there are better more economical options?  I would prefer a very large screen size that is similar in readability to actual sheet music.  Additionally the pedal set up should be easy and reliable.  Is Bluetooth effective?  The other issue would be he ease of loading .pdf's to the tablet from a Linux based computer.  In the past Apple devices were not Linux friendly.

Re: Tablet for music display ?

The iPad is really the best option to read your scores!

If you play classical music, I recommend the '' classic '' iPad 9.7-inch.
I have created a publishing house that makes scores specifically optimized for the iPad screen with a very comfortable note size. The page turns are also designed so that you do not always need a bluetooth pedal.

Here our website: https://www.muzibook.fr

We also sell our publications worldwide on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=...mp;c=books

And, here a new website that we have just created (but there is not yet our entire catalog): https://www.sheetmusicplace.com

The iPad Pro is also great if you want to read scanned scores, but in many cases the notes will still be quite small, and you will be dependent on the bluetooth pedal to turn the pages. This is not always practical for most users according to our customer surveys.

In both cases, the iPad is an excellent choice, and the AirTurn bluetooh pedal works really well on it.

If you can install iTunes on Linux, you should have no problem synchronizing your pdf files on the iPad.

Cheers
