Topic: Feature request: Auto-pan

I would like to see an Auto-pan effect in Pianoteq. The main reason is that I like to put a very subtle Auto-panner just before the Reverb; this gives a very lively effect, mayby similar to moving your head a little while listening.
Can be simple; something like the Tremolo effect: Rate, Depth and Shape; best would be a random shape, or a random like shape.
Thanks!

Edit: Evil Dragon is right:it's basically the Tremolo effect I'm asking for. But it would be nice it it could be different than that: better adjustable low values for Depth and Rate; and rounded (sinuslike) / random Shape. Now the best setting is somewhere in between 0 db and 0.00 db ;-)

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

Use Tremolo by default is in stereo mode (when Mono button is off), so it's basically acting like autopan

Hard work and guts!

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

Hey, you're right, cool!
Although... it's not subtle enough for my taste, I think it's because of the shape; which is too regular, or or not "rounded" enough.
And it's only usable in extreme settings (very low Rate and Depth ). Anyway, almost there, I'll change the request.

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

You can click on the Shape waveform and move mouse UP-DOWN to round it or square it, or move it LEFT-RIGHT to change the skew. If you need more precision, right-click it then you get to edit both these parameters via direct value entry. Sine wave is absolutely there - which is what you'd want for autopan. Then it's a matter of tweaking the depth and rate to your taste.

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

Again, you're right, Sine wave is there...
And yes it's possible to enter very small values; still, while Tremolo can work as an auto-panner, it feels a bit clumsy, because of the small values needed (by me), which are between 0 and 0.00; in between 0 and 0.00 are several values. I think it's easiest using it via MIDI-automation, which will work fine, because you can limit the reach of the controller values.
So just a very non-urgent request for a dedicated Auto-pan, which should focus on smaller values and has random shape as option.

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

Might as well use an auto-pan effect in your DAW or something...

Hard work and guts!

Re: Feature request: Auto-pan

Yes that would solve it; but I'm using PT on 3 different OS's, so using stand-alone is much simpler, and rock-solid, and I very much like to have the auto midi-recording On all the time.
