Topic: Beautiful Bluethner
The only time I played a Bluethner Concert Grand, I was backing a country singer/guitarist.
The only way to describe the sound, in practice at any rate, was quality. Hi-fi not expected or found in any other piano I've ever played on. The bass notes were clear even when played together.
And I find the same with the Pianoteq version. Better by far than the other instruments for depth, clarity, sheer quality.
Other pianos have their distinctive side, like the Bechstein, Erard and Grotrian; K2 is clear, bright and so pleasant and easy to listen to, it makes for a lovely practice instrument, and holds it's own on playback/record. I love the different flavours supplied by these instruments.
But my Steinway D needs working on. I may have to set it back to default in order to appreciate it's intended properties. . . it doesn't sound too dissimilar to the Roland FP50 . . .
Funny how you see stuff in a new light when that light is suddenly switched on . . . .
Bed time drivel from me.
