Topic: Reinstalling Pianoteq after total Win 10 crash

Hi all,
I am through a nightmare.
One ugly day, my PC wouldn't boot anymore - only in safe mode.
I realized I had to make a clean installation of Win 10, and install all my (music) software anew after having Win 10 being stable again.
Thanks to earlier experiences (during Win XP era) I had saved every installing file to my second HD which was not affected.
As I was using a lot of own fxps for pianoteq, I managed to copy them out of the roaming folder before sending the old Win 10 installation to nirvana.
Now I had hoped when I copy those fxps back into the new roaming folder (pianoteq -> presets, and ...-> My Presets) I could launch the instrument, and load the severy fxps from there.
But no. Whatever I tried, the standalone returned "Could not read '...yxz.fxp': not a FXP file."
Sorry, what can I do now?
For some fxps, I had much work to design them: tuning, voicing, design.... I will not be able to reproduce them all by my memory. ;-(
Thankx a lot.

Re: Reinstalling Pianoteq after total Win 10 crash

When I reinstall Pianoteq or do a backup of my fxps, I always copy/paste using the 'All banks' folder from the Preset Manager within Pianoteq itself. I don't know if that makes any difference, but it's always worked for me.
