Topic: RME Babyface Pro
Is it still a reference and a good buy today, even if 3 years have passed since it is on sale?
Thanks,

Thanks,
Absolutely.
RME just published a few videos on recording with the BabyFace Pro.
I have one and it is rock solid. It is a top performer:

If you read the GS thread you will see RME is still providing support for some very old hardware. Wish other tech firms provided this level of service.
I'm using one on a Win-10 PC and really love it. Prior to getting this, I was using a couple of different Focusrite interfaces (Firewire and USB).
Not only does the RME sound fantastic, but the lower latency (excellent for Pianoteq) and more frequent updates of the drivers (than Focusrite seems to be able to manage), are among the things I most appreciate about the investment.
The included RME TotalMix software is also extremely versatile, and I really like the Snapshots functionality.
Overall, it's been absolutely rock-solid and reliable. No regrets of any kind in picking up one of these.
Thanks,
It is probably my next buy.
If the latency numbers are correct I expect to have the same feeling that I have with my Focusrite but at 44,1/128 instead of 44,1/32 as I play actually.
I will report my thoughts.
I received the card and will report later.
Just a question: is that normal that the lights are always on, even when the computer is off?

Yes. USB ports are powered when the power-supply is on, even if the PC is shut down.
USB ports are powered [...]
Sometimes. Depends on notebook and BIOS-setting (on/off). Sometimes those dedicated USB-ports are marked yellow.
