Topic: Hier matin
Bonjour,
Yesterday morning I did a little Steingraeber Pianoteq job again.
Since I don't want to spend three hours finding a title, it'll be called "Hier matin" (Yesterday morning)

Hello Mr Gaston! When I listened to this, "Hier matin" (Yesterday morning), I had to go back and also listen to Déchromacie. It was, for me, easier to follow and listen to Déchromacie. I have learned, that the more stimuli we have in a song, consisting of different and connected parts, the more likely one will like it over time. I have heard this kind of music 1971, an old friend, who could sit and play like this, without music sheet. People didn’t understand his music. But when I listened to him, I found those many different parts in the music. It was very nice.
I think you are are such a gifted and talented pianist (as my old friend was). This is definitely awesome! Have not heard anyone play like you since 1971. Thank you. Keep up the good work!
Well, that’s what I think about it.
Hello Mr Pianoteqenthusiast!
Thank you for those kind words that touch me so much!
1971, what a long way off...!
I was 36, and I was a sound engineer, much more a technician than a musician. I finished building the studio of Château d'Hérouville.
Afterwards I had worked more in the film world (sound engineer on the shootings). But I always kept music in the background.
Music, I've come back to it since I retired.
But I'm just an amateur who makes his own little music in his attic-home studio...
”But I'm just an amateur…..”
Well, I am an amateur, too. But it doesn’t mean never making other people enjoying listening to what we play. It is always possible to achive something, You have proven it. We all have our motivation, and you find Ptq exciting, which one can hear in your music. Continue the good work!
nice piece of music, especially the repeated notes, at 2'50", did you change something in the presets of the cinematic ?

This is one of Pianoteq's great strenghts over any sampled piano.
You don't need a round robin trick to make those repeated notes credible.
did you change something in the presets of the cinematic ?
Except the velocity curve adapted to my playing and keyboard (Moderately fast keyboard), only Output Stereo.
