Topic: An Orchestration featuring the ptq Salvi concert grand harp

I spent several hours today scoring my piano miniature, Prelude Cantabile, for strings and woodwinds. The ptq Salvi concert grand harp provided the foundation and the inspiration to proceed. Hope you like.

Indeed, a singing-sad waltz.  It feels as if it goes away all too quickly.  I like the harp as the base... maybe open the harp as a solo with some repeated phrases in the middle and then rejoin the strings for the conclusion?

Having written for the educational market for many years, my pieces do tend to be in the one or two minute range. I occasionally expand on these pieces which I may do in this case. I work with a music library company in Hollywood who has been successful placing my music as cues in TV and film. They like hearing very short pieces scored in a variety of ways. For me, it is like giving a class in orchestration - considering a variety of possibilities. I imagine in some future lifetime I may manage to write a whole symphony. Thanks for your feedback, which I do appreciate.

Ah!  Very cool.  Now I get it.

The chord structure sounds very John Barry/James Bond-like.  I like it!
