Topic: Delay on the pp and ppp played notes

Is it me or there is a small delay (increased latency) when you play very softly on Pianoteq?

Re: Delay on the pp and ppp played notes

That's actually perfectly normal piano behavior.

Hard work and guts!

Ok
Is this new with the v6?
I did not remark that before

It's new. See the list of changes for version 6.2.0 on this page (last tab): https://www.pianoteq.com/pianoteq6

Hammer flight time is longer due to its lower speed, but I doubt that it is perceptible.

We adjust to it anyway as part of playing louder/softer, i.e. notes that we will play softer are played with a finger that moves slower and therefore has to start its journey earlier.  We also adjust for the note growing to its peak volume later.
The mind figures this all out and the neuro-muscular system somehow DOES all that.
