Delay on Surface 4 with Kaway CN37

Hello, I am new to pianoteq and to virtual instruments in general. I connected my KAWAI CN37 to my Surface 4 through an USB-USB-B cable of unidentified brand.

The delay is considerable, around 300ms, I would estimate.
I tried to play around with Sample Rate, Buffer Size, and Audio Device Type, but nothing worked. Increasing buffer size actually does increase the delay, but with the lowest buffer size the delay is still there. The lowest buffer size actually also creates crackling sound.
I also tried changing the Internal Sample Rage which doesn't seem to affect anything.

What could this be due? Could it be the bad quality cable? Bad quality audio card? Bad quality surface? All of them? Thank you!
