Very effective! Although I can't imagine many pianists wanting to record an album with this sort of vintage sound, it would be great for deliberate nostalgic effect or to add period atmosphere to a film soundtrack, etc.

Indeed, we mainly made this recording for the pleasure, and also to demonstrate the realism that it is possible to achieve with Pianoteq in all situations, but finally, why not?

After all, the vinyl sound has been back in recent years;)

It is interesting to note that most classical piano recordings before the 1960s were recorded in small rooms with a very short reverb time, as is the case for Abbey Road Studio 3.

Below, the same recording in the same studio, but in a modern configuration. This gives an idea of the sound that Alfred Cortot's recording would have had with today's equipment.
