Topic: Roland FP-90 Bluetooth MIDI controller support?

I have a FP-90 and have connected it via Bluetooth, both as an audio device and Midi device, ie "Audio" and "Midi" shows up on the FP-90's display next to the Bluetooth icon.

Playing audio from Pianoteq 6 (eg clicking the Pianoteq keyboard or playing the Blues demo) works fine, I hear the audio coming out of the speakers on the FP-90.

But I can't get notes played on the FP-90 to be detected by Pianoteq 6.

Does Midi over Bluetooth work with the FP90?
Does Midi over Bluetooth work the Pianoteq 6?
Is there some other Windows 10 software I need to make it work?

I understand there may be latency issues with Bluetooth, I will buy a USB Midi cable later, I just want to try out the Pianoteq 6 demo first.

Thanks!

Re: Roland FP-90 Bluetooth MIDI controller support?

Just realized I can plug a USB cable into the back of the FP90 and do MIDI over USB.  Seems to work fine.

That's the way to go

Pianoteq 8, most pianos, Studiologic 73 Piano, Casio Px-560M, PX-S 3000, PX-S 1100, PX-S 7000, Mac i27 and MacBook Pro M3, SS Logic SSL 2

Re: Roland FP-90 Bluetooth MIDI controller support?

Win 10  basically allows software to connect to MidiOverBluetooth - but the software has to implement it. I think Sonar supported it ....

for Win10Apps it should integrate more easily but music software is most often not using the Win10App frameworks.

if you want to use it - take a look at sonar/cakewalk ... ( not sure if they still support it after the owner changed and made it free)

hope that helps
