Topic: One global velocity curve

I have one piano keyboard, and one sustain pedal, but I like to play several different presets. So I think I would like to have a global velocity curve for the piano (and one for the pedal) and use it by default for every preset.

But this is not possible, because every preset includes velocity curves. I can save modified presets with the curves, or I can save the curves as a mini-preset, but I can't simply use the curves by default. Is that correct?

Re: One global velocity curve

If you go into the "Windows" menu option and select "Parameter Freeze" you could be able to lock any of the velocity curves (note-on, note-off, sustain and aftertouch) to whatever you want permanently.  Note the "set as default" button on that window.

If you do that, those should not change even if you change preset.

Ah, I see! Thanks for the help!

I also want a "Master" velocity curve to deal with the characteristics of each person's keyboard.  Then the second velocity curve, as present in each preset, could be used for artistic effects.

Currently, JD, if you 'freeze' your velocity curve with the Parameter Freeze controls, then you don't get the effects of the softer or harder curves that people have used in the presets for their sound-shaping character.

Re: One global velocity curve

You can freeze one , all or none of the parameters to get the touch and sound you want.  The Equaliser is a very useful tool to experiment with.  Fascinating stuff. which can keep you from playing the damn thing . . . . ha ha

I'm playing all the right notes but not necessarily in the right order
