Topic: Dumb audio question

Hi Guys,

My ignorance is almost infinite, but is most vast when it comes to audio signals.

I know this is a pianoteq forum, not an audio forum, but....

I took my rig to a rehearsal the other night, including:
  - pianoteq on thinkpad
  - m-audio keystation 61
  - audiobox usb 96

i'd never been hooked up to a PA system before.

the audiobox is two channel output.  at home i plug one monitor into left, and one into right.

but at the rehearsal, the tech gave me only one wire, not two.  i plugged it into the left channel, and played away.

but i think that was not giving the full signal

What is the correct way to tell Pianoteq and the AudioBox to play in "mono", and use only the left channel?

Re: Dumb audio question

In the middle of the screen, under the "OUTPUT" window, you select "monophonic" (with the other choices being stereophonic, sound recording and binaural.

Upon selecting 'Monophonic', you will enjoy the entire sound field through the left channel in your example.

Cheers,

Joe
