Topic: PianotTeq at gigs?

I am starting to rehearse with a jazz blues band, and would like to bring PianoTeq along.

To do this, I'd like my laptop to be an inconspicuous black box, not an open laptop I interact with.

Two questions:

1) In Windows 10, anybody know how to keep PianoTeq running with the laptop closed?  (I don't see an obvious option in the power settings)

2) I'd like to send MIDI events to PianoTeq to tell it to change from one preset to another, eg, from Steinway to MKII.   In other words, I want to change sound without having to open the laptop.  How can I do that?

Thanks,

Re: PianotTeq at gigs?

1) Go to Power Settings, then select the power plan, then Change advanced power settings, in here you can set it so that closing the lid doesn't sleep the computer.

2) You can MIDI learn individual presets to program change messages in the big preset browser.

Hard work and guts!
